CEVICHOCHOS

Cevichocho is particular dish made with 2 tomatoes, onion, 2 lemons, a little spoon of olive oil, coriander, salt, pepper and chochos, that are the principal ingredient of this dish. There are a small oval- shaiped grains and there are white. There are native to the highlands of Ecuador.
You need to wash and boil the chochos. Wash and blend the tomatoes. Chop the onion and put salt, lemon juice and pepper.
 


Voilá! The cevichocho ir ready to eat!

LLAPINGACHOS, A GOOD NUTRITIONAL OPTION


Llapingachos are a little tortillas made by potatoes with cheese and peanut´s sauce. This traditional food can be accompained with meet, pork or chicken.
There are specially for the Andean Region and it´s really easy to prepare.
You need to cook the potatoes and make a puree with them with a little spoon of butter, salt and pepper. After that, you need to do the tortillas with a little piece of cheese in the middle. The next step is to fry the tortillas in the frypan.

And you are ready to enjoy this delicious food!!!

"PONCHE" A TRADITIONAL DRINK

Ponche is the name of  a traditional drink of Quito that is serve hot. The receipe is: an egg, two cups of milk, a little spoon of maicena, a little sppon of cinnamon, and sugar. This delicious drink is easy and fast to prepare, and its taste is unique.
This drink is perfect for the cold days and also if you want to discover a new tastes, specially in the culture of Quito.
You can find this drink specially in the downtown, specifically in the historical center. It can be accompained with another sweet like quesadillas or pristinos, that are also a traditional food in Quito that you will know soon.
